Sometimes, it’s as simple as a gesture — painting a bench, repairing a gazebo, or smiling at a neighbor.

To mark World Refugee Day on June 20, we brought together 16 volunteers — both refugees and Bulgarians.
Together, we took small but meaningful steps toward connection and community in Ovcha Kupel Park, as part of Sofia Municipality’s “Forest in the Neighborhood” initiative.
