Exhibition “Shared Journey”

Since July 7, 2025, visitors in Sofia can experience the powerful photo exhibition “Shared Journey”, displayed at the Open-Air Gallery near Kino Kabana. The exhibition features 12 portraits and personal stories of people who have found protection in Bulgaria after fleeing war and persecution in Syria, Ukraine, Sudan, and Afghanistan.

The initiative is organized by the Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria in partnership with photographer Ivan Shishiev. “Shared Journey” invites viewers to look beyond the anonymous label “refugee” and see the individual—their story and unique fate. Each photograph and story speaks of extraordinary human resilience, the strength to start anew, and the courage to cross personal boundaries in search of a new path in life.

The exhibition is supported by UNHCR Bulgaria and will be open to visitors until the end of July.

Help us by supporting our cause!

The need has faces, but no nationality. The manner of donation is as important as the act itself. Solidarity only makes sense when emotions are combined with reason and trust is not broken, but preserved and stimulated.
