Since the beginning of the year, we have been providing critical mental health and emotional support services to individuals affected by trauma due to conflict, displacement, and violence.

Psychosocial Support or ukrainian refugees – https://youtu.be/w4BV0zQqv_k
Psychosocial support services provided for Syrian refugees – https://youtu.be/_NwkTZmDiWI
Both videos focus on the benefits that the “Psychological Support” service offers them. One of the main reasons for distancing oneself from the service is the language barrier. This is also why the videos are created in Ukrainian and Arabic. Cultural differences also influence the seeking of psychological support. The use of visual and audio materials, and true stories of people who have benefited from therapy, is of key importance.
Refugees often require psychological support due to the trauma, violence, and losses experienced in their home countries, during their journeys, and in the host country. These experiences can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and other psychological issues. Difficulties with adaptation, discrimination, and social isolation further complicate their condition. Psychological support is crucial for processing trauma, managing stress, and adapting to the new environment. It helps them regain hope, build a social network, and integrate successfully.
