Project: “Sustainable Together” – Supporting the Organisational Sustainability and Continuity of Services of the Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria

Project Duration:
7 months — from 2 October 2026 to 2 May 2027.

Beneficiaries:
The project will support at least 500 individual beneficiaries — refugees, migrants and people seeking protection, including women, children, unaccompanied minors and families in need of social and humanitarian assistance.

Overall Objective:
The project aims to strengthen the organisational sustainability of the Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria (CRWB) and ensure the continuity of essential services amid declining and uncertain funding. The support will help retain key staff and professional expertise and keep the office and Humanitarian Centre operational.

Main Activities:

Providing partial funding for key positions in management, project coordination, social work and cultural mediation.
Ensuring the continued operation of the office and Humanitarian Centre by covering part of their essential running costs.
Continuing to provide social counselling, humanitarian assistance, translation, cultural mediation, referrals and support in accessing institutions.
Maintaining essential transport, communication, administrative and technical functions.
Developing new partnerships and funding opportunities and strengthening longer-term financial planning.
Sharing results and highlighting the importance of organisational sustainability through CRWB’s website and social media.

Expected Results:

Retention of key staff positions and accumulated professional expertise.
7 months of uninterrupted operation of the office, Humanitarian Centre and essential services.
At least 500 individual beneficiaries receiving one or more forms of support.
At least 3,500 services provided.
New funding opportunities and partnerships developed to support sustainability beyond the project.
Continued access to timely assistance and greater stability for the team and the communities supported by the organisation.
