In times of a pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, work at Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria‘s office has increased.

“We have changed the way we work, but we stay close to the people we help to meet their needs” – said Linda Awanis, chairperson of the CRWB.

Social workers and cultural mediators register newly arrived asylum seekers by preparing initial social assessments and applications for services.

The activities are within the Comprehensive Integration Support for Legally Residing Third-country Nationals project, which is implemented together with Caritas Sofia, includes a number of activities to improve access to social and health services, education, employment and social integration.

In the period from 22.03.2021 to 31.03.2021, Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria accepts only emergency cases for office consultations and provides telephone translation in Arabic and Persian.

Help us by supporting our cause!

The need has faces, but no nationality. The manner of donation is as important as the act itself. Solidarity only makes sense when emotions are combined with reason and trust is not broken, but preserved and stimulated.
