We marked the start of our new project – Foundations for the Future, with an opening event, which took place on March 31, 2022 in SOHO. During the event we introduced our guests to the goals, activities and teams of theproject’s two partnering organizations – Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria and Caritas Sofia.
The project, implemented with the financial support of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, aims to contribute to improving the conditions and national reception capacity of international asylum seekers, with a focus on unaccompanied minors, as well as to ensure the right to childhood and guarantee basic human rights of the most vulnerable among those seeking international protection in the Republic of Bulgaria – the unaccompanied minors.
The event ended with an opened discussion with the project team and gave visitors the opportunity to ask questions and share the excitement of the project’s team members, which builds on their previous joint successful initiatives.
The event was attended by 58 people – representatives of the organizations working on the project, members of the Program Operator, partnering organizations, representatives of relevant institutions, media and volunteers.
