My name is Mohadese Mirzaee. I am 25 years old , borned and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan.
What made you leave your homeland?
The fear of Taliban regime and their mindsets towards women and especially towards women activists and their cruelty to women’s basic rights.
Why did you choose Bulgaria?
I stopped in Bulgaria for multiple reasons firstly at the moment I only had Bulgarian visa and that was the only place that accepted my entry and I have been in Sofia before for my flight trainings and I had a few friends and acquaintances here which could have been helpful for me in order to continue my passion of flying. At that moment it was the only country that opened its doors for me.
What do borders mean to you?
As a profession I cross boundaries everyday multiple times in literal meaning and at first glance boundaries are when something ends and another begins but if I look at it deeply, my boundaries are where I can be completely myself, where I can be safe and protect myself physically or emotionally. It is the safe bubble around me that lets me grow in harmony and lets me experience every step of life and emotions naturally. So I can say boundaries are protectors of my harmony, it is an invisible line that either accepts or denies the elements that I can handle as an individual person in order to have a balance in my life and with every experience and event in my life this line can either expand or contract to shape a better version of me.
How do you want people who don’t know you to perceive you?
I want people to think of me as an another equal and a fighter who never gives up her dreams and spirit for life.
