I am Sameer Foad Yousef, 45 years old, from Khartoum, Sudan.

I left my homeland in 2023, when the war destroyed everything I had built —
my business, my home, my life. I arrived in Bulgaria with my family and only
one thing: my patience.

The beginning was hard; I had lost faith in life. But I managed to overcome
the difficulties and found a new reason to move forward — here and now. I
dream again — to work, to start a company, to build. The first thing I really
liked was the snow. The other was the warmth of the people, which makes
me feel at home. But even though I feel accepted, my heart tells me to return
to Sudan one day.
