Over 90 acts of kindness in 30 days – this is the idea behind “Bulgaria’s Christmas Miracles,” a digital festive calendar bringing together inspiring causes, events, and civic initiatives from across the country.
From 20 November to 20 December, a new window opens every day on chudesata.bg, offering opportunities to make a difference – by volunteering, supporting a cause, attending an event, or sharing an inspiring story.
The Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria (CRWB) is also part of this calendar of kindness!
On 8 December at 11:00 AM, at Salted Café Sofia, we will host a culinary workshop, “Flavours of the Middle East,” bringing together the tastes, traditions, and stories of women from the refugee community.
Together, we will prepare delicious traditional sweets infused with the aromas of cardamom, rose water, and pistachios. Beyond learning new recipes, the event will provide a welcoming space for connection, cultural exchange, and new friendships.
The “Bulgaria’s Christmas Miracles” campaign highlights the everyday work of dozens of civil society organisations supporting vulnerable communities, promoting culture, protecting nature, and encouraging volunteering.
The initiative is organised by the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law, The Convo, Sofia Platform, the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, the Bulgarian Donors’ Forum, Amnesty International, Platform Agora, and the Trust for Social Achievement.
Because true miracles don’t happen while we wait for them – they happen when we create them together.
