Beneficiaries: Refugee children, adolescents, women and families in Bulgaria.
Overall objective: Provide fast and easily accessible protection services to Ukrainian and other refugees in Bulgaria. As an temporary arrangement, UNICEF and UNHCR have established „Blue Dots“ which are safe spaces, child and family protection and support hubs in key locations such a Sofia, Burgas, Ruse, Varna, Dobrich, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Harmanli and other.
- Provide a complete package of services for refugee and migrant children and families in Bulgaria within the « Blue Dots » spaces;
- Assist beneficiaries with family reunification procedure and expand the capacity of the system to offer family-based care placement through national institutions and other partners;
- Dispense social and humanitarian services for refugees living in reception centers and other locations in the country through mobile team and outreach approaches;
- Furnish timely and quality help and protection to Ukrainian citizens and third-national countries refugees in Bulgaria.
Activities: The project envisages activities allowing to improve the physical, psychological and material condition of the beneficiaries, to prevent certain physical or mental illnesses, to provide necessary medicines, humanitarian aid and essential information for their protection. Activities aim to strengthen humanitarian response in emergencies and pre-emergency preparedness across all stages of the response and protection program.
