“Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria” Association is looking to recruit a SOCIAL WORKER for a project funded by UNHCR Bulgaria.

The position is related to practical support to refugees and asylum seekers on the territory of Bulgaria.

REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant higher education in the humanitarian field: the following majors are preferred: Social Action, Social Pedagogy, Psychology;

Computer Literacy;

Proficiency in a foreign language is considered an advantage;

Experience working directly with children and families, communities and vulnerable groups, c/ or with the child protection system is an advantage;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing social counselling for the beneficiaries of the association;

Preparation of social assessment/needs assessment, case work plan, individual case management, case monitoring and follow-up;

Outreach work (individual and group), informing about rights and obligations – social, medical, legal, educational, etc.;

Communication with state and municipal institutions (social, health and educational);

Research and referral to appropriate social services;

Regular follow-up of case work plans;

Preparation of a monthly report on the activities carried out;

Participating in weekly intervention and supervision meetings.

Fixed-term contract on an 8-hour day;
