Reporting & Analyst Officer

The Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria (CRWB), an independent Bulgarian NGO founded in 2003 by nine refugee and asylum-seeking women, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Reporting & Analyst Officer.

About Us

With over 20 years of experience, CRWB is the first and largest refugee-led and women-led non-governmental organization in Bulgaria. We have supported thousands of women, children, men, and unaccompanied minors, offering a platform for expression, advocacy, and empowerment. Our mission includes changing societal views on refugee women and providing crucial support during humanitarian crises.

In partnership with major organizations, CRWB provides social work, psychological counseling, humanitarian donation, multi-cultural empowerment and information sessions to thousands of refugees, asylum seekers and Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection.

In the framework of the Empowering Lives project, implemented in partnership with UNHCR until 31.12.2024, we are looking for a Reporting & Analyst Officer.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (with the possibility of 100% remote work)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project-related data, maintain data collection channels, produce monthly statistics, identifying trends and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare project’s monthly, mid-year and annual reports, both narrative and performance for external stakeholders, collaborating with project teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct and oversee project-related research and analysis, including the continuation, analysis and writing of one skills mapping analysis.
  • Provide strategic insights based on data analysis to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks and channels to ensure project activities align with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the project manager, database officer, social workers, and other team members to gather data and ensure timely reporting.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on project performance.
  • Propose improvements to data collection and reporting processes, staying informed about industry best practices.
  • Act as reporting focal point for the financial authority members and represents the project in various coordination bodies and forums, advocating for project goals and achievements.
  • Oversee the outreach team, providing methodological support and guidance to ensure effective community mobilization.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years in project reporting and monitoring.
    • Proven track record in statistical reporting, especially with UN-agency reporting methods.
    • Experience in project monitoring and data analysis within NGOs.
  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in Political Sciences, Statistics, Data Analysis, or Social Science Research.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficient in data analysis tools.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in English; knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • 36 hours/week
