Dessislava Petkova

Dessislava is deeply interested in noble causes, Eastern languages and culture. She is a Bachelor in Oriental Studies and a Master in Indian Cultural and Social Studies. Currently, she studies for another Master`s degree – in Social Work with Refugees and Migrants, at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohrirdski”. Her carrier path started with volunteering and went through internship programs and permanent employment with different non-governmental organizations.

Dessy is now a Humanitarian program coordinator by Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria. She is happy to be part of the chain of good that happens day after day, thanks to donors, volunteers and the dedicated team of the association.

On a personal note, she enjoys a large cheerful family consisting of a husband and four children.
